But why didn’t Sheree throw Phaedra out there too?

I thought he still was? When it was becoming more inevitable that Trump was getting the nomination, some Never Trumpers were floating his name as someone who should run instead. That could’ve just been wishful thinking on their part, though.

IIRC he’s a Republican, too.

Too late to edit my post, but I wanted to clarify that *I* should’ve kept scrolling. You succinctly said what I was trying to.

True. McAullife’s veto pencil is staying sharp these days.

Should’ve kept scrolling. I just posted something similar. He tried it.

Dave Brat (VA Rep who was able to oust Eric Cantor on the premise the Cantor was not conservative enough) barely gave notice about his town hall that was held over an hour away from the majority of his constituents, in a restaurant who’s banquet room holds 150 at capacity, and took 34 pre-submitted questions. He

“Wouldn’t you rather stop a riot before it starts? Do you really want to wait until people are injuring each other, throwing Molotov cocktails, picking up barricades and smashing them through businesses in downtown Phoenix?”

VA just passed legislation for off-duty and retired officers to be able to conceal carry without permit. They’re seriously asking for more of this.

Or call me. I’ll listen to that nonsense for days.

I have a friend who used to do market research for a university cancer center (they were trying to find ways to educate people on what services were available to them). Like the resume test, she took a brochure and literally only replaced Obamacare with ACA, and they couldn’t manage the number of people calling

If JL is not Arthur for Halloween this year it will break my heart.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing.

Okay, my bad. She didn’t explicitly call out gays and people of color until afterward? I didn’t realize that. She did say, “We have fought for everybody else’s equal rights. It’s our time to have wage equality once and for all and equal rights for women in the United States of America.” We certainly haven’t fought for

I’d be *so* good at diva-ing. Alas, chained to my desk I sit. Where do I lodge my complaint with the cosmos?

The older I’ve gotten, I’ve sought out communities specifically for women of color for the sake of my sanity. The conversations are much more frank and honest when it comes to issues with patriarchy and racism (at least in the black women groups I’ve found). There is a sense of “airing dirty laundry” that makes people

You mean specifically about Patricia Arquette’s Oscar speech where she read a prepared statement that said “...It’s time for all the gay people and all the people of color that we’ve fought for to fight for us now”? You’re confused how people read that as exclusionary feminism?

Publix is coming to Richmond, VA this summer! Not north enough for you, but I’m excited. Although the grocery store game here is pretty cut throat - Wegmans, Aldi, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Kroger, and Martin’s (soon to be Publix) are all within 10-15 miles of each other. I’m curious to see how Publix holds up.

There’s a reason #sayhername became a thing.
