But it wasn't anyone else, it was Don. This is the man who cost the firm that account last season because he couldn't submit to a background check. I have to wonder if his response to Lane is supposed to be seen as a sign of the "new" Don or if it was more of a plot contrivance because the writers were set on having

Exactly. Don - of all people - couldn't give the man a break?

That's true about Ivy really just being a cartoon of Marilyn, but with this musical—does it matter? It's not like they've written some intimate, naturalistic drama. For "Bombshell" she's close enough.

He should be on Justified playing Raylan Givens' nephew/cousin/long-lost son. They look amazingly similar.

Not sure what they're setting up with Michael here…is he going to go full stalker on Julia or what? His behavior is heading straight into weirdo territory. Or is this just aimless churning to keep the "conflict" going?

I was actually referring to the Marlowe in the books, who was quite different from Bogart's Marlowe.

Rockford was basically an updated version of Philip Marlowe. Garner had actually played Marlowe in a movie, but he came closer to the essence of that character in this show.

Pete told after the party…because he's a weasel.

He always seemed pretty slow to me and just…odd. The rest of that, though, I saw him as being in an altered mental state after the shootings. He probably did believe he could just go home. The fact they never mentioned the mother after they had him in custody is just the usual level of incompetent writing for this

I thought the guy playing Belko, Brendon Sexton, was really good in this episode. Very creepy and psycho.

More Tom and Derek yelling at each other, please. Derek's father is gay? Hmm…interesting.

Something I didn't understand was when Limehouse was telling his lackey to go with Tanner to make sure his loose ends were tied up, he mentioned something about "tying up our own loose ends". And then the other guy gave him this really weird look. Limehouse nodded very seriously; the moment was filled with foreboding.

HA!

1. Raylan is keeping the gun to plant on Quarles.
2. Delroy didn't seem too bright to me. I think he just liked the power trip of telling the girls what to do, regardless of finances.
3. Yes, Ellen May is the same girl from earlier in the season.

She has also pointed a gun right at Boyd with the intent of blowing him away.

A CHEMISTRY TEACHER!

This show feels padded to me, like they're stalling. There are only so many songs that will eventually be in the musical and only so many songs they will write and then will be rejected. Eventually we will have heard all the songs from the musical 3x or 4x and then what? How many Adele covers can they do? That's the
