Yeah, he was the hot nurse on the Tsuranga hospital ship that got got way too early in the episode.

Dougray Scott. His most recent role was Batwoman’s dad in the Arrowverse.
Ever After mentally scarred me for a very long time. Anjelica Houston did too good of a job!
To be fair though, the only part of WW84 I really liked was Chris Pine geeking out about pilot stuff. If Jenkins could bring that energy to an X-wing movie, it might turn out okay.
The action in the first one (specifically the No Man’s Land sequence) was also well-choreographed. Marvel movies and other tentpole franchises still struggle with this, so that was a breath of fresh air at the time. Jenkins’ complete failure to repeat that success was one of the biggest disappointments of WW84 for me.…
I saw this man’s face and thought, “I can hear his voice. I must know him from somewhere. But where?” Friends, he was in a single episode of Doctor Who, but he is very hot and thus I remembered him.
And if they happen to help a few people along the way, that’s a nice bonus.
Um, according to no less of a legal authority than the Supreme Court of the United States, the function of law enforcement is not to protect anyone actually. Officers are under no legal obligation to protect the citizenry, from criminals or anyone else. So it seems the function of police really is to enforce order and…
I fully admit that I read “Dune” as a teenager and eagerly dove into what I thought was a “Chosen One” story, only to be thoroughly disgusted with Paul by the end. So the themes are all there in the very first book, and everything that comes later simply expounds on them. But if someone adapting the source material…
Hell must have frozen over because I’m defending the manbabies, but it is kind of weird to make a He-Man show that is aggressively not about He-Man. Like if Marvel had marketed “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” as a Steve “Captain America” Rogers show, I think people would have been upset, too. Those of us who have no…
It’s not. I dunno. I’ve never watched Masters of the Universe, but I really loved She-ra and the Princesses of Power, so I decided to watch Revelations, and it has a really strong nihilistic streak that turned me off. It also kind of felt like Smith was trying to punish people who were fans of Adam/He-Man’s character.…
When I read the book, I felt like Herbert was trying to pull a bait-and-switch. He lures in the people who usually like a white savior sci-fi/fantasy story with his premise and then sweeps the rug out from under them in the third act. The problem has always been though that a solid chunk of the audience doesn’t…
Except Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Voltron, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Star Vs. The Forces of Evil, and The Owl House all exist. Two of those animated shows aimed at kids are from Disney, but they aren’t going to air in China so it’s fine. This isn’t about Disney warming…
I could never forgive Part 2 for denying me Voldemort’s thoroughly mundane death from the book. I also made mistake of seeing the film in 3d, and let me tell you, a shower of Voldemort flakes is not something anyone should have to endure.
Early seasons Lip would have made a killing off of Gamestop and then blown it all on something stupid/tragic.
Every week in the summah.
It eats cars, too. I doubt Patapsco has ever been repaved in this century.
I will add that what I found interesting about that scene was not the racial profiling because I agree with you about the dialogue and staging. What I found interesting was the underlying idea that Sam is angry because of what he just found out, but he is not allowed to be angry. At least, not in public.
That was my reaction as well. No wonder it’s such an ear worm.
I mean, we still have Wonder Woman. The sequel was a mess, but that doesn’t have to tarnish the original.
