Except he plants and then sort of aimlessly drifts backward as he's pushed. He doesn't appear to be struggling to go toward the ball.

I live between Pittsburgh and Buffalo, two cities noted for homerism, and yet 90% of the FB feed trashtalking comes from a few random people who are Pats fans. Some are lifelong, some are bandwagon, but by and large, they take a special pride in talking about how wonderful "they" (apparently these fans are backup TEs…
Funny how every Pats fan who never heard of the push rule from the Jets game is suddenly a rule book expert on DPI.
And "Days of Thunder." Very cogent critique on race, there.
People seem to be up in arms defending that golf isn't expensive. Which may or may not be true.
"Golf" a hobby/sport is not necessary expensive, any more than you can say baseball is expensive when you have a stick/bat, a ball and a place to play.
Like I said somewhere else, I have a friend (Aspie) who cannot conceptualize of how rude she is with her interruptions and her tone. Those of us who have known her a long time try to be understanding, but today I've been avoiding her (online) because she's mad a man talked down to her and sees it as sexism. Probably,…
Boo. I'm the quiet one who married into an opinionated Italian family. A loud Italian family. I feel the hand raising is a good idea.
Sadly (from my point of view) true.
Any mention of PPK just makes me want to go watch Andy Reid as a giant 12 year old.
Yeah, but I went to a college with a complete crap swim team and there were still those 4-5 top performers that crapped on everyone else for not being as good as they were. I really don't know if there were team totals at meets or they just didn't like fatter people wearing the team jackets.
Many of the schools where I'm from (the part of upstate NY most people think is Canada) used to play those forms. For whatever reason—insurance, cost, not enough other places playing—most of them dropped it in the 70s, if not before.
I grew up in a rural area where most of our schools were actually too small for football. Soccer was the only fall sport. Now that I live on the PA border, and it comes up that I didn't play football in school, it's like I'm admitted to being a theater major or sheep rapist. People can't contemplate boys not playing…
Tangential, but the people that watch the Olympics in prime time are generally going to be older since anyone with a clue is watching online or streaming.
Lessee...played tag for years, never ran into tree. Played football for years, ran into someone on every single play.
I have family that still blames the "gotcha media" for McCain/Palin not winning.
I try to think that the men who took the time to respond were a self-selecting crowd focused on some narrow agenda.
I wish I had an easy answer for you. You know, some idiots will say you're non-fem or whatever, but really...I applaud that you gave it thought, weighed the options, and made a call that seems to be the best choice for you and your relationship. The "men think..." and "women think..." and "feminists must..." absolutes…
Yep. I married Whassername, Esq. She was Whassername for years before she ever met me and known professionally as Whassername, Esq., for years while we were together but unmarried. I have no issue with her keeping that name because it's her name.
Boston sports fans want you to know they all aren't like this guy.
