He's firm but gentle.
I do love me some Jackie Chan.
Oh interesting. I guess I just thought of the cable cars because they have the look that I associate most closely with what I think of as a trolley. So then what about the light rail? That runs on the overhead lines too. Is it a trolley train?
You're right. I was only counting the cable cars as "trolleys". I actually found the retro streetcars to be a pretty effective and comfortable way of moving up and down Market St. when I lived there. Way better than any of the buses.
Or Wizards in Washington.
San Francisco still runs them but they're more of a tourist attraction than an actual form of transportation people use to get around.
I remember buying a strategy guide for Return to Zork because I just couldn't figure some of it out.
This is our new sire now.
I always bought King's explanation that Roland entering the Tower and sounding the horn was a perfectly poetic ending. It ultimately doesn't matter what's in there because Roland fulfilled his quest. When he said that, for him, the story ends there, I believed him.
I'm going to try to live in my blissful ignorance for as long as possible. Some articles I've read have already told me more than I want to know. So it's probably inevitable. I just mentioned it here because I've never once met someone else that didn't read the ending.
All I really know is that most people found it incredibly disappointing. When I tell people I never read the ending they usually respond with "You're better off."
I was big into point and click PC adventure games. Having replayed many of them as an adult, I have no idea how I figured out some of the puzzles without the internet to help.
So I know this is asking for it to be spoiled for me, but I never read the last part of The Dark Tower. I stopped reading when Stephen King told me to in that author's note. I've somehow managed to not have anyone tell me what happens when Roland enters the Tower ever since the book was released. But with the movie…
Okay Potter nerds, what's your house? I'm Ravenclaw.
I'm so sick of this argument. Vaccinations are probably the greatest medical discovery in history. Right there with antibiotics. We didn't just all spontaneously become immune to polio, you idiots.
All the "religious freedom" rhetoric is such a thin cover for anti-gay sentiment. Imagine the shitstorm those same people would kick up if a Muslim business refused to serve a Christian customer based on "sincerely held religious beliefs".
It does seem to be more prevalent across the South compared to other regions.
I love ketchup. But only Heinz. Don't try to give me that garbage Hunts.
They were speaking some other language… I'm pretty sure it was… *sob*… Asian!
