You don’t need to hide from earthquakes because they’re rarely deadly in the first place. Your chances of dying from lightning are twice your chances of dying from a quake.

Folks who are scared of earthquakes typically have never experienced them. I’ve been on scarier carnival rides. Also: you’re twice as likely to die of lightning than earthquakes.
