Why would you want to make them simpler? The complicated transformations is what made some of the ones from a few years back so great.

Well, I'd suggest a more creative idea that would intuitively use the gamepad like some kind of world building game (ala Minecraft, but not Minecraft), but the only way to rally votes for something like this is... well, to suggest a sequel.
