7. Servants don’t need to buzz before walking in on you in your quarters

Oh yes forgot that one, I did wonder about that too.

Things I learned from Star Trek: Discovery:

The MU has never been my favorite - mostly because DS9 played the concept into the ground and they quickly became the most obnoxious/skippable episodes of the show.

...the lack of sexy-nurse uniforms for the women occurred to me last week, but then this they week gave Michael an underwear scene which kindof undercuts the point. But it still feels like the least juvenile MU trip in awhile.

Burnham will win. She has better hair. But then Voqqi will sacrifice himself to save L’Rell, gutting Burnham and leading to ****character development****.

BTW: (i cannot edit my reply...annoying!) Does someone else feel that the terminal of Saru is to low given his build as a person (large). He seems to need to reach down to his terminal all the time. That leads to backpains dude!

What are you talking about? Zack has watched and reviewed over 400 episodes, starting with Kirk and going all the way to Ben Sisko. He is definitely a fan.

His reviews of Discovery are a little more negative than my impressions, but that doesn’t invalidate his opinions. And your suggestion that he’s not a fan because

TWIST: It was Rappin’ Jake Sisko the whole time.

Let’s get real here for a moment. The UFP of supposed to be a kind of worldwide government that represents all of earth. White people only represent about 15% of the earth’s population, roughly one billion or so, between the US and Europe. (Canada and Australia’s populations are too small to be statistically

It’s amusing to read so many people make the same complaint about the reviewer missing a key point of Trek lore — while never bothering to read the rest of the comments to see if anyone else had previously made the same complaint

Good odds the Emperor is a particular Asian woman we’re already familiar with, not least of which because they were an Asian woman 100 years before.

Why did Kirk have to kiss Uhura? This is a franchise that has traditionally been about challenging our preconceptions, and pushing our boundaries? The question really should be, why not?

Remember when they covered a ton of TV shows?

NAH - Trump can’t read.

I KNOW! What does ‘heavily made up’ actually mean? I want to zoom in on pics and understand this turn of phrase. Anyone?

You’re correct. He apparently has recordings to backup everything in his book. He obviously planned ahead, and understood Trump’s litigiousness.

Oh my god, did NOBODY else notice the references to earlier Black Mirror episodes planted among the exhibits at the museum and during the stories??

I agree 100%! The technologies in a given episode of _Black Mirror_ aren’t new ideas. But that’s okay: what I look for in _Black Mirror_ is what I look for in science fiction in general: good storytelling, good world-building, good actors, and fresh and interesting speculation about where some technology may take us.

Counterpoint: I loved this episode (Hell even the entire 4th season!!) Sorry but I didn’t go into this episode looking for some deep life altering out look on the aspects of technology. I came to be entertained and by god that’s what i got. OFWIW..I loved the cinema photography work in Crocodile Just absolutely
