Um, the battle royale concept is from popular culture so it’s the public domain, no?

So that’s where my girlfriend put it :/

I love Shadow of the Colossus so much, but I still feel like this remake is so unnecessary, at least at this point. This trailer certainly reinforces that feeling.

I thought the episode where everyone rated each other had a happy ending. She escaped that perverse world of trying to please everyone and the ending hints at a new friendship. That’s about as happy as could be expected.

Let’s all be real here for a moment...

I mean, likely suffering from some kind of mental illness. That sort of compulsively kept lie indicates a level of OCD and instability. Not to mention leaving her car when she left? Thats not something a mentally well person does. She likely read most of Magus’s old posts and content after the initially lie and became

This was a weird, but very interesting story. Thanks for the journalism, Cecilia! Stuff like this takes more effort than the “new game announced!” articles, but these kinds of articles are probably the main reason I check Kotaku so often. Thanks for the hard work! =)

I don’t give a shit about the console but it’s hard to emulate the tactile feel of the controllers. The heft and weight and the feeling of the original plastic is hard to simulate.

Collectors and hobbyists, mostly. Plus people who don’t know about emulation, I guess. Actually, swap the “mostly” to the other category, now that I think about it.

I understand where you’re coming from, but if tomorrow, someone told me my job was in jeopardy because of the racist remarks of my boss, I would really be scared about how to deal with “putting food on the table”.

Also blatant racism isn’t politics, it’s blatant racism. Though, nowadays it might be hard to see the difference.

It says a lot to me that you think, based on an extremely small sampling of youtuber comments that were selected because they talked about the specific topic of the article, that most people or youtubers were more upset with the loss of potential revenue than any social concerns.

Even in private, I would probably take that out of your rotation. Keep letting it rattle around in your mind, and you’re at risk of running into one of these scenarios, and you don’t want to be the guy who occasionally drops the N-bomb. Practice the way you play, and all that. I get frustrated and angry all the time

This wasn’t said “in private”....

it’s actually not the law. the ESRB is a private organization that rates games. the problems is that retailers only carry games rated by the ESRB and console manufacturers will only release games on their online stores that are rated by the ESRB. this means that basically the only way to sell your game in the US is to

I hope we all see the irony in someone winning a “For Honor” competition in a strikingly dishonorable fashion. Not just the exploit but that after winning he shot off a “wow this was so easy, I didn’t even practice,” line. Honestly I’m half inclined to think it was intentional.

I am a developer. If I promise that a release will have certain features, and then later push that release while having told no one that my release will be missing some of the promised features, then I did indeed lie. You can’t skip on major promised content and then just hope that no one notices.

He specifically states that you can meet other players but you likely wouldn’t because of how big the universe is, and then a year after release we finally have steps toward multiplayer. You cannot in any way defend that to me.

Except he didn’t “plan” to have them, he said point blank it was.

He got what 4 or 5 kills while people were in houses? And the person he was talking to clearly said they were in houses. Thats abuse. He knew they had no chance. Its not like you can shoot through walls at the jeep. But he sure as hell can go through them. When a densely populated urban town is completely void of
