I’m gonna go ahead and re-post this link right here, in reference to my elderly neighbor who just got swindled with one of these scams.

FFS, you would think the lenders would be very closely scrutinizing any dealer who has customers with a higher than usual default rate and just stop working with them.

Nice article, learned something. Even better would be to have a list of shady dealers who play this dirty game so that consumers can blackball them. Why can’t this be done?

Also, here's something to "test your theory". Don't use your phone for a few days straight. As in pretend it is at the repair shop. See how long you last not having your phone with you because you made a poor life decision.

My phone is so freakin slippery I need something to grip it. The bumper was useless - couldn't slip it in my pocket so I got a minimalist case that had some grip to it. The iPhone is lovely but it needs something - anything - to make it a little less like a wet bar of soap.
