I miss Deadspin.

I also bought a M/T GTI last year, and this was my thinking as well. Not just the last manual, but this may very well be the last ICE vehicle I own outside of a weekend toy.

I don’t know about the boat stuff, but I saw one in the wild yesterday and agree that is is ugly.

That Impala story is insane. If it were me (and I’m not claiming this is smart or right) I would make sure my insurance was good and run it into a tree and hope they call it a total loss.

This goes for established joints too. I used to manage a bar, and the owner had been a neighborhood staple with several bar/restaurants over 30 some years. You wouldn’t believe how many people would try to get free drinks because “Oh I’ve known Al since the Truman administration.”

My wife and I don’t celebrate the holiday, BUT for a $35 donation a local animal shelter will bring a dog or cat to one’s work as a “puppy gram.” I will not miss an opportunity to send a dressed animal to see my at work. It’s also a good organization.

I liked the Integra Type-R as well, but this is my favorite. An SI was on my short list when I was car shopping last year, but I couldn’t get over the looks. 

I know my wife loves 2 things. Sour beer and our dog. Also, since this is our (my) first child I probably don’t have a great idea of post-partum life.
