When I worked at a new car dealership the mechanics were the least worked people there! they only had to work 9-5 everyday and they consistently closed early... I envied them everyday for this while I was out in the South Georgia humid sun selling cars and waiting for customers to show up. Not only that but anybody…
Id rather walk 200,000 miles than drive them in a honda fit and save my money if that was my only choice
I get about 28ish on the highway in my 06 G35 coupe
shitty interior and crappy parts in that G8, don't deny it
not every G is stances though. In atlanta I see more of them track-ready than I see them cambered out.
probably on bags
the 350z/G35 370Z/G37 are “front mid-ship” engined for better balance. Thats why its (nearly) impossible to change the headers without taking the engine out of the car first
yeah when I drive the back of my seat was touching the back seat and I’m only 6’1
MUCH slower too. I haven’t read one review that hasn’t said ‘needs maor powah’. When I drove it I kind of liked that i couldn't do too much damage in it but it was painfully slow and the only way to cure it is an expensive turbo
Ive seen them get well past 250K miles
I’d like to see how much you've spent on parts and labor 5 years after that warranty ends. If I ever bought a BMW id only own it while its in warranty. I agree that they have a higher caliber for quality but the parts that fail aren't quality what so ever. (ie. water pumps)
for real, I was looking at getting a 335 instead of my G35 and although I could’ve have afford the maintenance, I just didn’t want to... A guy on the forum said to expect to spend about $1000 a year in maintenance for just about any BMW! (not including essentials like wheels, oil and the like)
Im thinking if mine goes out ill just finally invest in some recaros or brides
easily fixable with some cheap camber arms
now if you mean reliability then yes I agree. As with many other underpowered engines and transmissions, they do not tend to need as much maintenance
Well there is also a huge difference between dealership $9000 in parts and labor and ANY other reputable ma and pop shop $9000. The G35 is so easy to work on that I’m surprised that he didn’t do any of the work himself. I replaced the driver side window regulator for a friend and it only cost me $89 for the motor from…
I wouldn’t quite say that they are better... I’ll say the new lexus IS cars look amazing right now they just don’t have the power that I want in a car (Ijust want 350 HP, is that too much to ask for?) and don’t even get started on those rebadged honda accords. yes a G35 looks like a rebadged altima at times but when…
If I put the same amount of money spent on buying the bmw and then doing all of those ‘5K’ parts on the G it would be just as fast. It only takes about $15K to reliably put a Greddy twin turbo onto my 06 G35 (the 1st gen G37) and it would be making the 600’s for HP. Its been done plenty of times. In the end racing and…
Finally somebody who understands!
