I cannot stress enough how bad and INCORRECT this take is.

Eh, not so much PR team than calling out a tired trope.

Hate to agree with you. 15 years ago we had a real Gizmodo.

Gizmodo used to be about tech, now it’s mostly a mix of tech and other random musings. Looking at the first page now there’s mostly a mix of crossposts from “The Root”, “Earther” and “io9". Of the posts from Gizmodo itself there’s just a couple that are about tech of the type it used to be back in the day. Scientists

this is a tech website run by tech reporters

This is an advertising platform run by a bunch of hacks and mentally challenged individuals at best.

Stuck in the grays but pointed out the following:

The story is that people become desensitized to the anti-Amazon narrative because of this bullshit, so that Amazon can get away with actual labor violations in the future. Boy Who Cried Wolf, etc.

It’s super low and there is no story. Just shitty reporting. Remember this when G/O asks for a bailout or gets sold again for pennies.

No, that’s a legitimate syntax error on my part. I’ll fix it. Thanks for flagging.

I still don’t think it’s fundamentally wrong of Uber or Lyft to not classify their drivers as employees. But I think both companies have created a web of incentives and conditions that encourage drivers to do it full-time. The gig economy is exposing all sorts of systemic flaws in the American employment system, and

Wow, nice straw man, idiot. All “right wing” opinions are “horrors?” Again, nice straw man argument. Crawl out from under your yoga mat and go take a logic course when your local community college open back up.

That’s right. In this case, when the bully/coward had their socialist “equity” policies exposed, they fired the guy who exposed them.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve never had any urge to ever write a 10 page manifesto about my place of employment and distribute it widely, nor do I think anyone would want to read it. The sheer entitlement of it is just staggering.

I feel the love!
You’re also twisting words, I clearly did not say it cost too much to help the people, I am concerned about doing it right so that the multi-trillion investment will actually pay off.

YES! I am sorry I forgot about her...

Don’t forget to add AOC and her ilk.

this is socialism at best and communism at worst.  America was built on a free enterprise system and guaranteeing a basic income goes against that principle.  The vast majority of people work hard and earn what they have.  We do not want to encourage people to not work and guaranteeing an income w/o any guaranteed
