Smart move on their part. Everything about this is stupid. It’s stupid that the press initially made a big deal over nothing. It’s really stupid that Trump continues to lie and fabricate evidence instead of just acknowledging that he misspoke. This is not the hill they should die on.

It’s a fact that people spend a significant amount more money when they buy things with credit cards.  It doesn’t register as real money in the brain.  It might not matter if you have plenty of disposable income, but it’s something that people living paycheck to paycheck should consider.

To be honest I was expecting to bash this article, but that system is fucked up. Most people who do things like Door Dash also do Uber and Lift, so the hourly rate can be much higher. In any case it’s meant to be a part time job. In this case though they are STEALING tips. It’s unconscionable.

I had a really terrible job installing tires at NTB when I was 18-19. Breaks really weren’t allowed in the pay was low. I quit and found a better job because low skill jobs are a dime a dozen. Was he detained or was he arrested?  The original article says he was released from the hospital without charges.  That suggests he was only detained.  It’s a big difference.

I agree.  No group would really accept me, but I generally vote Republican.  I could be swayed to vote for a moderate Democrat (and have for Governor several times) but most of the candidates are so far close to being extremists and they make no effort to appeal to the majority of the country.

If she is truly a moderate, maybe she has a chance.  The shift to the extremes might play well on sites like this, but it doesn’t fit with the majority of the country.
