The story is lacking in important details. Whether he already shot someone or not, what happened the moment before he was shot by police? Did he have a gun? Did he threaten them?
Context SHOULD be everything, however I think that if you use you know people are going to over-react so you must be looking for attention.

African-Americans or any other group, but they can’t be separated from the fact that the criminal justice system tends to target people who are poor and/or minorities.
