That’s not true. The defendant doesn’t have to do anything. He could sit there quietly and the burden is on the state. The problem is that judges/juries are people (prone to errors) and “beyond a reasonable doubt” is subjective.

The headline is purposely misleading. The employers cannot “take away your birth control”. They just don’t want to pay for it. I’m not sure why people feel so entitled to have others pay for them.

Neither one is very difficult. People just make poor choices.
