An ‘84 Tbird 3.8 V6 with the C5 auto (yes, C5... lockup converter on a C4) and a 2.73 rear end will do 120-125mph for hours on end with little ill effect. It’s torque, not HP... HP only defines how quickly you’ll reach top speed, not what that speed is. And it will take a while.
