Oh dear..
I think we have a case of "I am the new show runner and I *need* to leave my mark on an already successful show". Yeah.. by ruining it.
I am tired of the over-ambition of show runners ruining series… what about "if it works, don't fix it"?
Geez, every character has turned to be a caricature of a caricature

I was a tad angry with how it ended last year ( l loved the season, apart from the finale).
This is first episode of Veep I didn't find funny or interesting.
One can hope, but for me this was a C (plotwise it was a F…) .

well it is not the place to talk about BSG, but Designated Survivor hasn't even reached the level of BSG's worst episodes..

I am not an American nor I live in USA, but the most American ppl I personally know who believe that democracy is a toy of the rich to exploit the people, are conservatives who do not like government. They are also middle class to upper middle class which makes all this even more surreal. And all white.
I am not sure

During human history, many tried this approach and all failed in the expense of the ppl they were supposed to help live better.
So to beat that dead horse again and follow some "pax americana" like the one in the series, it means ignorance or stupidity or false pretenses or a combination.

What a great season!

it seems everyone is after a nostalgic ideal past that never existed and certainly can't now.

lol, that was mean!
But still, we would at least enjoy a couple of good seasons

Who falls for bs like "less democracy=less rich people ruling you"?
People who haven't finished middle school or know nothing about human history?
And ok, let's say there are some idiots who believe this is true, who they think provides them with all this weapons/helicopters/equipment/access to government/etc etc,

I often think how this story would be made by the creators of BSG .. such a wasted potential really

yep, the "perfect president" thing is kind of annoying.

I really enjoyed the first season of the Good Fight.
As for this episode, Christine Baranski's performance in the hospital was the best I've seen from her and "the Will callback" felt awkward..

"Hillary Clinton Fanfiction"!!!
LOL!

I do not think they expected us to believe that man was Kurt. It was a familiar scene for Diane, that reminded her best friend's death and made her worry even more for Kurt.

But why they don't go after the brother? who is also guilty and everyone knows?
I can understand going after Maia to make her dad comply but really, his brother should be their big target.

oh yes, but we get a lot of them in this show, almost every investigator/judge/agent/lawyer . It is a bit too much

oh she can be "worse"? I don't follow her so I didnt know.

I liked the actor, I enjoyed his character but after his "murder for fun" episode I can't find him funny anymore.
And yes I loved Baker in the Americans.

I agree with Sweeney, but not with Lynch, I am kind of tired with all these quirky judges and agents. Who is supposed to be? The Elzbeth of the FBI?

After his last episode in the Good wife, I cannot enjoy him bringing comedy. He has become a caricature which contradicts how he was established as a true monster.
The only episode I will enjoy with him it will be going to jail for life.
