That sigh. She said a mouthful with that sigh.
That sigh. She said a mouthful with that sigh.
“...a humble, thrifty, European immigrant tradition—but I don’t care much for those words, which are just alternative ways of saying low-rent, foreign, and odd.”
I agree with Leslie, when Alessandro starts speaking Italian to Michela, the sparks fly off the screen!
Came here to say this. Has Molly never looked into the markings used for buried lines? Very few of them are for fossil fuels:
You know... a lot of power, data, and water lines are also buried. The people that mark the gas lines also mark those when they come out. Removal of gas lines in favor of electrification is also not that easy to accomplish, especially in older neighborhoods. This was a lot of words written for a bad take.
OMG!
The best road trip I’d take again is one I missed entirely.
I’m convinced these screen grabs are really just Getty image search results for “white nonsense.” The fact that this show exists makes me watch to punch a J.Crew catalog.
If the board is all that, they will handle that teacher and do the challenging anti-racist work required to cleanse their system of systemic racism.
I genuinely appreciate that context, so thanks for sharing. My comment was prompted by the students who said that they’re reported this teacher before and been ignored. Now, I doubt they reported directly to the board, so I was probably being unfair. However, if the board is really serious, I think there need to be…
Not to say I don’t have friends who get upset over the dumbest things, but lately all the reality shows have just been on ATTACK. I almost can’t watch anymore because its a car wreck.
All the respectable Persians would never be on this show! That being said, I admit I have watched from Season 1 and cannot believe how DARK it has gotten... each season getting bleaker and bleaker and the fights getting worse and worse. Even when they come to together (something I used to praise in the time of turmoil…
It’s pretty well divided in the group between Jewish and Muslim, Reza has parent that are both. The show plays up the cohesion of the dissident community in LA, despite religious differences. The cast members are mostly garbage, but the show is really a fascinating look into this small mostly forgotten community.
Your pizza looks delicious. I also love grilled pizza but I do the flipping the dough thing. I didn’t make anything particularly beautiful this week (although I did make delicious fish tacos) but I made my dad a lemon poppyseed cake for Father’s Day last weekend.
He looks like someone who is about to unironically lecture you about the value of meritocracy.
Every time I see Andrew Giuliani, I think of Chris Farley. Every single time:
the white people outraged about velma
What often gets glossed over is that her experience is a very Irish one. We’re a similar age and our upbringings were full of the same cloying religiosity and stark hypocrisy that passed for “normal” back then.
My partner is a lawyer and works for one of the biggest commercial landlords in the Greater Toronto Area. They are amazed that these bozos, 1) think they have even a chance at winning the suit because Fritz’s post was a comment on publicly made/available comments, and 2) don’t have the sense to see that no developer…
Love the love.
