I have mixed feelings about the article. On one hand, it’s super insulting to Serena because it (a) basically calls her a hulking, masculine behemoth, and (b) implies that her athletic success is primarily attributable to her physique, which, as TayTayTruther described so perfectly, has racist and sexist implications.

I’ve always felt that I had to be that much more aware of how I present myself. I’m representing more than just me.

I can and I did.

That’s what keeps me reading. I enjoy the gossip and such, but I’m here every day for moments, articles like this that really give me a different perspective and expand my overall view. Again, thank you!
