I doubt he pulled the ejection handle. On most, if not all two seaters a pull from either handle will result in both seats being ejected.

I used to despise those billboards on that trek. Ever since my parents built a new home in coastal NC I obviously stop to visit whenever I’m driving down to or coming back from Florida. The route I take now allows me to avoid those billboards in both directions and my life is so much better for it.
