If the Double Fine documentary is anything to go by(and I hate to say this) the MS acquisition saved them from going under and offered security they had never experienced before. I’m still worried MS will dismantle them by the end of the decade though, because I’m cynical as hell.

When Bethesda acquired Arkane, it basically saved the studio. Before then, Arkane had three cancelled projects in a row, which is effectively a death sentence for an independent studio. They had no projects going into 2010 and mass layoffs were inevitable, with studio closure being a very real possibility. Bethesda

Sony is absolutely doing anticompetive things.

Many of Square Enix’s top games are Playstation exclusives or are timed exclusives. Games like Final Fantasy VII Remake and Dragon Quest XI came out significantly later on the XBox or didn’t come out at all for the Microsoft console. These are some of the top-selling games

Exactly this. People just inventing stuff out of all the negative space in their statements. Like don’t do that.

Yea. That’s how PR works.

exactly this. still no word on if microsoft can buy activision blizzard yet. expect more xbox/pc exclusives until that happens. for the sake of the industry I hope they do take cod away too.

a pretty normal Wednesday for Soulja Boy, tbh.

Why is it always seem like everyone acts like it’s a dick move when Microsoft pulls this kind of shit but shrewd and savvy when Sony does it?

Lesson learned

Royal came out 3 years ago, and the PC version 5 months ago. Still wrong, why should anyone have to play through something with already spoiled stuff? Its age shouldn’t matter

(If this ends up being some bullshit gacha game I will still enjoy watching all the cutscenes on YT 100x more than most games I will actually play this year)

I not only am not interested, I am actively and joyously cheering for it to explode in their faces so hard that it should be a cautionary tale for anyone else wishing to replicate it.

What trope are you talking about exactly? How she’s immune or that Ellie is the last hope for humanity? Here’s the thing about Joel’s decision, he may have also killed the person that can do anything with Ellie’s immunity.

Does it matter though? How she’s immune doesn’t influence anyone else’s motivations or actions. They all know she’s immune, the “how” is irrelevant. Even the flashback with Anna, was more to show her(Anna and/or Ellie’s) connection to Marlene.

I’m getting to that point where I’m thinking Sony is the reason FF7 Remake hasn’t been released on Xbox. At least Crisis Core is on Xbox and the closest I’ve gotten to FF7 Remake on Xbox is the DLC for Powerwash Simulator.

“It’s not because Sony paid us, definitely not that.  They’re definitely not doing what they’re trying to argue Microsoft would do with Activision games, definitely completely unrelated and not hypocritical.”

This is incorrect: she’s clearly immune because her brain was already filled with too many terrible jokes, leaving no room for the cordyceps to take hold. It’s just basic science.

The settlement was thrown out because of lack of credible evidence, not statute of limitations.

Frankly, it was time for an update.

I wish I’d waited on 9th generation consoles honestly. They’re ugly, run hot and still have very few exclusives.

As a side note that is one ugly console. The inspirational text is equally jarring and corny.
