Real milk has fats and other materials that mellow coffee and tea. In particular, milk (and especially cream) counteract the tannins in tea.

Addendum: I am comparing what was legal and morally reprehensible two hundred years ago, with what is morally reprehensible today, irrespective of whether it is legal today. Oh, don’t forget that seeking asylum is, in fact, legal, the efforts of the administration of the lazy corrupt racist orange santorum-covered…
If you are sensitive to how people were treated when they were brought to this country legally in chains two hundred years ago, maybe you should also be sensitive to how immigrants and seekers of asylum are being treated today.

Thank Reagan and his henchmen. They got the ball rolling.
I’ve thought about your post, because I’ve thought about how my interpretation of what you described evolved as I read it.
We’ve all been to those weddings where we know it’s just a matter of time before the divorce. I remember one wedding where I wished the bride would dump the groom and marry the best man--he was awesome! Of course she didn’t. The marriage lasted longer than I expected, but they are now divorced.
Thanks for the info.
Another thought just occurred to me (or maybe I glossed over it).
I have many opinions about this. Several of them contradict each other. I’m human, I guess.
He confuses grooming with mentoring.
I am reminded of a schoolyard taunt: he thinks he’s hot shit on a silver platter, but he’s really cold diarrhea on a paper plate.
Temperatures around here are going to be below zero F soon enough. With a gas-powered car, the car will operate just fine, maybe losing a bit of MPG. Ditto a diesel, as long as it’s not cold enough to cause the fuel to turn to mush. Electric? Watch the range plummet.
“Harvard geneticist George Church thinks it’s “ludicrous” to compare his dating app — that uses genes to pair adults together — to eugenics. “It’s ludicrous to think that’s what I’m doing, but it makes good clickbait, doesn’t it?” Churchtold The Daily Beast.”
“You are basically bringing them into an emerging job-copalypse and climate dystopia.”
“Can’t you just do genetic screenings to see if you and your partner are carriers of whatever diseases you have in your respective families? Why turn it to a dating app?”
Or, a childhood playground version of that: “You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you shouldn’t pick your friend’s nose....”
I suppose it depends on whether we as a world want China’s equipment to spy for China, or the U.S.’s equipment to spy for the U.S.
