We are not stuck enough on how bad the lazy corrupt racist orange santorum-covered enemy of the people is. If we were, we would have impeached him and removed him from office a long time ago. Supporters of the Frothy One put his bigotry and the entertainment value of antics above the good of the country and the world.

Harley-Davidson is the apotheosis of accessorizing as primary corporate strategy.

So this is an at-will gig where you pick your own hours, have no barrier to entry besides owning a car, have no interview process, and can quit whenever you want with no repercussions and you make $30/hour. What exactly are people complaining about?

I have never used Uber or Lyft. I refuse to do so, for many reasons.

Re turbo: once burned, twice shy. I hope they have it well sorted.

Yeah, touchscreen controls should be reserved for set-and-forget settings.

I love the idea of it. But it’s more car than I need or want, at least now.

The most horrifying story involves a man who was wearing a helmet purchased off Amazon when he got into a motorcycle accident:

Someone who incessantly chews gum like a cow chews cud. Repeatedly snapping it--even worse.

You get a star for that.

Was he layering underneath the unbuttoned shirt?

Not petty. I also will not date smoker. It’s like kissing an ashtray. Ugh.

Here’s an advantage: you can look him straight in the eye to let him know how you feel, rather than having to look (literally) up to him.

Yup—petty! :-)

Yup. I try not to be a biased person, but there are certain accents, and/or voice qualities, that are nails on the chalkboard.

Kudos to you. But you’re not petty!

In certain contexts, backing into a space is actually helpful to others. If you’re parked at an event such as a football game or rock concert, where everyone gets in their car and leaves at the end, backing into the space can help you get out of your space earlier, and thus hold up everyone else less.

We all die.

I hope someone has my Dieselgate Special. It was a perfectly good car as far as the driving experience was concerned. Pity that VW tried to pull a fast one on the government.

A former coworker owned one. He loved it. It worked great for him. He was not wealthy, and I would have heard about it had it had any expensive problems.
