The Lito/Hernando sex scenes are very necessary because they are absurdly attractive and it's enjoyable to watch, narrative be damned. So much of what this show is doing is about exploring the universality of sensual experiences - in terms of the senses as well as sensuality. It may not contribute to the 'narrative',

Beyond what everyone else said, I didn't perceive Lito's behaviour while feeling Sun's period as reflecting on women, but as the natural, character-based way Lito would react in those situations. He's a famous actor and a primadonna who takes himself too seriously (witness: his ludicrous vocal warm-ups), of course

A woman shoplifts and it ruins her career; men sexually assault women and they just keep on truckin'!

I suspect at least some of it is that Frankenstein's monsters are kind of like shadow selves, and so they end up (un?)wittingly avenging their own suffering.

Binge-watching is such a popular release model but it's also terrible for comprehension. It's clever because it helps disguise qualitative flaws since you're rushing to get to the next episode on momentum alone, but it means you also forget everything pretty quickly (for example, I watched this whole season across two

Partially disagree, since Vee was a terrible storyline which almost sank season two. But the aftermath would have been interesting, but as you say, they didn't really go there. Just with Suzanne.

nah

I didn't say discussion of it was bad, just that I find the concept gross and ultimately anti-critical and so I simply commented my objection to it. So I admire your attempt to make me seem a hypocrite!

Hard pass on more Stella (was she ever an actual character…? Not really), but some Miss Claudette action would be great. My first thought as I finished episode 5 was, "Ugh, they've Miss Claudette'd Nicky." I guess the show spends time on so many borderline subplots - Daya's baby, Norma's religion - that it feels like

Yeah like, we lose Nicky but we have to stick it out through Runy Rose not being able to act as anything other than hot? It's a bit bogus, really (also, after what Aleida did to Sophia, I had zero interest in her trying to be humanised, so that episode was a real bust).

I thought it might divert the flow of the "Spoiler warning? I'll just scroll right past that…" crowd, but evidently I didn't make it in time.

So, HERE THERE BE SPOILERS for episode 3 and on:

Are you talking about this song, or…?

Sup?

I KNOW BUT UUUUUGHHHHHHHHh

Yeah I think it's just the lighting (and obviously a deliberate costuming choice).

This is amazing, aside from the typo.

I find the entire idea of erasing art, no matter how hypothetical, kind of reprehensible, but go on with your bad selves, I guess. The bad is just as necessary as the good, or else we're just left with blah.

Or maybe people - STICK WITH ME HERE - have different opinions and perspectives. Saying that something that is considered a disaster can't have defenders is as ridiculous as saying that something that is considered a masterpiece can't have detractors.
