I've elaborated on why this suits her character further down, but saying there's even the slightest possibility that the show would ever harm AJ in any significant way beyond giving her chickenpox is looking at it with too much realism. The characters are only ever harmed for very deliberate story/joke reasons. I'm

You can hate the argument all you want, but yours doesn't reflect how the internal engine of the show runs. It's totally in-character for Lana to do something to piss Archer off, she's been doing it for several seasons. But at the same time, it shows that in spite of herself she has come to trust Archer to keep them

I've seen the movie. It's garbage.

I'm still confused that there's no controversy over it. It seems like the kind of thing there'd usually be righteous fury over in the States. Then again, that sort of thing typically stokes the ire of conservatives, and they're probably luxuriating in being able to watch Obama have his head blown up.

In the logic of the Archer universe, babies don't get shot. Like, why would that ever conceivably actually happen on this show? It's not like the baby is Brett. Characters on Archer are only ever harmed for very deliberate reasons: Ray's legs, Archer's random bullet wounds, Conway's hand, Barry's cyborg skeleton, etc.

Seriously, what is going on with this freakout over Archer getting shown up a couple of times? Did MRA school let out early or something?

Actually seems completely in character for Lana to value pissing off Archer above pretty much all else.

Keeping some kind of moral scorecard for this show is incredibly futile.

Huh! And it can just be whoever?

I didn't dislike this episode as much at the grade, but it was a bit tepid for sure. Scandal's biggest problem is indeed that the stakes feel so arbitrary at all times now, like it's constantly trying to drum up tension rather than actually creating it. It needs some sort of reset badly.

I think you have to be elected to a position of office to be eligible to be VP? I can't see it happening that quickly, anyway.

I really prefer the version of this show that has Annalise kicking ass and taking names. I hope that it can do that a bit more going forward (I'm praying this storyline is wrapped up by the end of the season but…who knows). I miss the fun of the procedural elements - actually, I miss the show being fun at all. There's

This film is phenomenal and harrowing. Uhlich doesn't mention it much but the framing is impeccable here, and the Elkabetzes have said in some interviews that they approached camera placement in really interesting ways to give it the look that it has. And there's a shot of Viviane that rivals the long close-up on

Oh yeah, I was just making a dumb joke

I know it's a soap, it just feels like a step way too far (I'm praying it's dismissed pretty quickly with the kid turning out to not be his). He already has a terrible relationship with his father and a fear of coming out, it just checks way too many done-to-death boxes to add a surprise child from a hetero

Seriously! Maybe now they know it's a massive hit they'll get more creatively adventurous with the episodes still in production, but visually it's so oddly bland. E.g. Vernon's shady dealings had no tension to them whatsoever because they read as point-and-shoot situations.

It's harsh, but at the same time, that garbage cliffhanger (pleaaaaaase anything but a hackneyed paternity storyline, forced on the one regular gay character no less, argh) leaves a pretty bitter taste in your mouth.

Sometimes it's hard to get our limp wrists in check, so I get it.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of Abbi working at Soulstice at this point. It's kind of too depressing now, especially with Maria ascending to trainer so quickly.

Oh go do some trust falls.
