but I know the absolute worst way for the recipient is if it’s reported as a prize. Then it’s pure income and may even push you into a higher tax rate.

The kid should probably list this as income on his taxes.
So, I’m going to be “that guy’ and disagree with most of this list.
So, you pulled it out of your ass. Thanks for confirming that.
Has there ever been a recall that is so close to being 100% of the automakers output for a year?
Why do you assume that Tesla doesn’t do extensive regression testing before release? Do you have any hard information on this, or are you just pulling it out of your ass? Without extensive regression testing, it’s likely that Tesla would have already bricked many cars, yet, this doesn’t appear to have happened.
The kid clearly doesn’t care about other people. See the picture of him not wearing his mask properly.
“Could work” is not the same as practical and economic. Your proposal not only includes a robotic battery exchange device, but also transporting charged batteries (which also means that there will have to be 2-3 batteries for every battery in a car that is using this system).
The other is a battery swap place that will go from 0-25-50-75... to 300 kW over the course of 2 hours and then step back down over the course of 2 hours as the day ends.
Whut? There are people routinely crossing the country RIGHT NOW in Teslas and other EVs.

How do you get a white-on-black license plate in CA? You can get yellow-on-black, but I can’t find any way to get white on black. Also, the year doesn’t look like a sticker.
The plate read ILVMUSK
In the UK, blame is 100% apportioned to the rear car in a collision and 0% to the car in front.
You can see it cutting in ahead of the blue car, that is why they are near stationary.
You are imagining things. The LR hits a stationary car. There isn’t any car that changes lane and makes the car stop in front of the LR. The car was stationary for a few seconds and, although the brakes lights do go off on the stationary cars, that happens too late for the LR to avoid the car.
3G is like, what, only about a decade old?
The problem is that the water pressure on the windows may increase the friction in the channels so that the windows won’t open, whether or not you have a crank.
Poe’s law in action, perhaps?
the best advice is to roll the window down
