a big director who’s got Oscars and is known for his social justice profile
They did mention a casting director for this story, but curious on who the big name director is that’s mention in the quote... Oliver Stone?
I mean, women are starting to - but every time they do their reputation is trashed - if not entirely, at least a little.
Right, it’s sad that after all the Weinstein stuff she is still afraid to say anything than “a big director who’s got Oscars and is known for his social justice profile .” If she literally meant someone who has won best director, we could probably get there by process of elimination: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_…
Until people feel they can really name names it continues.
“When you’re young, you don’t question. When you’re young, you’re like, ‘I gotta be tough. I gotta be, like, down to really perform, and if that means they need me to go this extra mile [I will]…’ People take advantage of that. People have always taken advantage of that.”
I’m not myself anymore. I don’t even go near women...
I honestly thought she had won Best Actress for Working Girl, so I googled - looks like Jodie Foster won that year for The Accused. It was also nominated for Best Picture, but lost to Rain Man.
She’s trying to “still be relevant” now that HBO’s under new management, poor thing. I’d feel sorrier for her if she weren’t so completely tone deaf in so many other ways.
“No. It’s simple. Elegant. Says ‘Confident. A risk-taker. Not afraid to be noticed.’ Then … you hit ‘em with your smarts.”
I understand that she lost weight in a really unhealthy way but this almost comes off as a “fat chicks are happy skinny bitches are miserable” message. As someone who's currently down 40 lbs with 40 more to go I know it can feel miserable craving meat and breads and sugars but once you accomplish that it's basically…
“I was always the gentleman. I would always say, ‘Hey, watch your language, there’s a lady here,’ and then I get accused of this...”
Is it just me or does she sound insufferable even while posting about body positivity?
I love when sexual predators say “well I don’t know how to act around women now!”. You never did friend! That was the problem!
“I was always the gentleman. I would always say, ‘Hey, watch your language, there’s a lady here,’ and then I get accused of this.”
I feel like I get more attention from men now than I did in my 20s when I had a discernible waist and no crazy wiry gray hair springing up all over. Maybe there is something to confidence (or not giving a fuck) being attractive.
I’m 37 and with you! My hair is about 40% gray and my body hurts all the time. I have a four year old and a six year old - I don’t think any of these things are a coincidence. Childbirth and toddler years just frickin’ age you. I fully expect to be more vibrant and healthier once my kids both reach school age and yet…
Y’all crack me up. 35? The thirties are the shit! The forties are the shit! Fifties? Sure, the hangovers get worse and hair goes grey, but shit - Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the topsoil is pretty good!
I will be 50 in three days!
Yeah, she’s lying. Her lips were a thin straight line. She just made them a little smaller than the overfilled look she had for a while.
