I have heard from a lot of folks in and around nerdist that the guy was a colossal jerk. My own personal experience with him at a meltdown event was the king-maker airs about him - I was intro’d, but he couldn’t be bothered with even a perfunctory glance.

One thing I am not seeing in the press, is that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a couple of months back. I looked it up, because I noticed that he had some major symptoms in the last interview I saw of him. It seems very relevant.
