Yes and no. It is also in response to circumcision being touted as a medically necessary way to alleviate different medical problems. Currently it is being said to lower HIV transmission rates. Hell I even saw that moron Bono from U2 say it was a good idea during an interview on World AIDS day. It has also been

True, but there are plenty who think it is actually necessary (and it is currently being touted as a way to lower HIV transmission, which it isn't) I'm just predicting wider spread consideration of it as a barbaric medical procedure that wasn't necessary for the ailments it was said to alleviate.

True, but I was meaning as for cleanliness and the new pseudo medical science reason lower transmission of HIV.

List is incomplete, it doesn't include Circumcision, a totally unnecessary barbaric surgery.

Not to mention dies in the end. I think you are on to something.

Haven't read the article yet, but "Gayer, Steamier and Explodier" sounds delicious. :-)

I'm fine with Rory & Amy Ponds story ending (but dammit does it have to be a heartbreaking end). Ps. I am not fine with Melody Ponds story ending. Not fine at all

$150, no way. Even if you forgive the initial $ needed for camera, software, personal hours invested There is just no way $150 even paid for the costuming. Maybe if a zero was added, but more likely two zeros.

It probably would have made me feel uncomfortable in the past, but with so many tv & movie images where someone steps out from the dark (face obscured) into the light for a reveal it makes me feel more anxious than uncomfortable.

Good point, but I'm willing to be that we (the US based io9 readers) mostly watched it on Christmas day even before BBCA broadcast it same day. And that is where to some of us the Christmas day announcement seems redundant.

Love the Game of Thrones news, and have to say "Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie" gave me quite a chuckle.

Don't forget the custard.

Agree, and I'm not saying I want fractured Sam, just a little diminishment of him to go along with the fact he's not all there right now. Sure he's coping, but that coping takes effort which then wouldn't be available for all the other things he has to do.

Certainly not, but a little diminishment of him at least would feel right.

That was mine as well. Was pretty much the most pointless monster of the week type episode we've ever seen on the show.

It was a really great line, but I think spikespeigel has a point. As bad as Sam's psyche being flayed was portrayed you'd think it would have the occasional bleed through, instead of what we are getting at the moment.

Dear John Barrowman,

If that's the case, they should get their effects budget back. LOL

More special effects shots than Avatar? Oh come on. Hyperbole much.

Agree, these are as you describe, but I was referencing all the "Small" houses with actual amenities that seem to be popping up in stories everywhere.
