I would like to think guided/constrained, but the simple fact of how blind he was to the implications of telling Cersei he knew her secret makes me feel Ned was more blind (because he wants to believe, just like Sansa) to the reality around him than constrained by his honor.

Dear God NOOOOOOOO!!!

I kind of saw Ned's fairytale as his belief honor and "rightful heir" matter. He is blinded by honor making his view of the world as skewed as Sansa's. That was my point.

Truly an enthralling series. Have to say I never disliked Sansa as much as others did. I saw her as the most like Ned in that they both believed in a fairytale and didn't see the reality all around them. Ned only realized he needed to play the game at the expense of his honor at the very end and by cruel trick of

The first image of Woody looks like he's straight of of The Dark Tower series.

Or maybe this is just the death of ridiculous expectations & boated budgets. Sure it looks like GL is going to be a flop, but First Class & Thor don't look like failures. Both budgeted around $150 million, one has earned nearly $300 million, and the other $450 million. Sure there were additional marketing $'s

The drinking with their fingers makes me think of Mork & Mindy

hmmmm, I've always found red to be the color of sexy.

I kind of took the opposite thought. River's aim would have been true because she truly wants to change her past and not be the one to kill The Doctor. As to why the shots didn't work, I'll go with some kind of shielding. But I think it is much more interesting if River was actually trying to kill herself.

I believe the Sontaran "nurse" was tied into the fact the universe, as River points out, is seeing a "doctor" as a warrior and not a healer. So the Sontaran healer was a nurse. Just a minor point I picked up on, but felt it really reinforced part of the story.

The friend I saw the film with said this also, so I guess it made the scene make a little sense. I just found it so odd it took me out of the story.

Cloverfield is only used as a comparison because the monster is teased at for quite a while. Difference is here it was done well, whereas Cloverfield was shite.

The film was set in 1979 when there really wasn't a 24 hour news cycle. Other than that I just about completely agree with you. Had a similar story to E.T. but the kids were certainly more The Goonies than the kids from E.T.

Except for a bit of the ending I thought the film was excellent. Clearly some of my nostalgia for E.T. & The Goonies is showing, but even taking that into consideration this was a fun romp.

Wait, just finished reading the article and realized it wasn't a major event so no phoenix. Must have simply been the fleet crashing into the sun. Stupid idea Adama.

Um guys.

A friend shared this with me yesterday and I could not stop laughing. Great fun this one. Oh and LOVE "Pyro is a douchebag"

Ugh, I wanna talk about River Song. :-/

Maybe if Zoe Greystone had met one of the Final Five in Season 1 there might have been a Season 2 mmmkay.

American Cousin here who knows why the corn syrup (politics, subsidies, & the Iowa Caucus in the presidential elections), but who also thinks it is SMH worthy. The stuff is no bueno.
