I really enjoy this show, and have to say this whole time travel change the present storyline has been very strong. If anything I think it's an excellent example of a way to retcon a program in a way that isn't offensive to fans.

@CodenameV: "Mad Men fanfic from the writers of BSG" I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. Caprica is horribly boring because of it's slow pace. Sad really because there is a tremendous amount of potential from the world building that already existed.
@J_Frank_Parnell: 15 feet rise in sea level would displace water much further inland than 15 feet. Consider the incline, because in many places it could be considerable distances before the increase in level of the land is greater than 15 feet.
