Why are Youtubers and Instagrammers called “influencers” but people in traditional media (like actors/comics/musicians) who do ads and spokesperson-ing aren’t?
I wonder if you or I missed her point.
She promotes brands and has corporate partnerships like any celebrity.
Jimmy Fallon doesn’t get called an “influencer” even though he’s got high profile commercials and ad partnerships.
