Haha — they don't have object permanence, and they think that she's been bodysnatched and replaced by a whole different girl when she takes her makeup off?
They act like toddlers who flip out when you play peekaboo.
She has returned from the land of the brown people to bring enlightened gems of their simple uncomplicated wisdom. How refreshing.
I find that gun pointing at the naked woman ad completely revolting. First the violence that it implies. Second it also implies that the danger of unprotected sex only lies with the woman. Disgusting and wrong on every level.
Lots of things aren't dangerous unless the person wielding them is an asshole.
Sure, it is only a penis. But you don't need a penis to rape someone, and you don't need a word for "rape" to be raped.
How is this shit acceptable to people? In any other workplace, this behaviour would be considered criminal and would rightly be abhorred. But instead the industry rallies behind a guy who openly and blatantly sexually abuses women? Can you imagine your office supervisor taking you into the boardroom and taking off…
So this guy molests and harasses models, behaves abhorrently in public, and (my Google image search tells me) takes photographs of such low quality that the staff of my local DMV would writhe in shame at the sight of them?
I'm disgusted by the comments that she should have known what she was getting into, or that a professional environment should include unwelcome sexual advances. A model shouldn't have to choose between being sexually harassed (which is my tame way of describing this) or potentially ruining her career for refusing to…
I'm chilled by the people who stand and cheer this on. My god. Its the mob mentality.
hrm, this is . . . gross. but not uncommon in the weird fashion/art/crap world. "Uncle" Terry hangs out on Mott st. in NYC almost everyday (i often see him there at Gimmie! Coffee or the taco place across the street. His studio/apt is not far off from there), I suggest some Jezzie goes and gets a good quote from him…
I am a (female) photographer and when I was still studying I had a whole chapter (in my glamour photography unit) all about how it is not ok to come on to your model and how, just because the model looks seductive, doesn't mean she wants you (it's her job to look sexy!).
I wish I had the verabl ability to describe how physically ill reading that made me feel. After reading it, I feel like I need a shower. I can't even imagine what Peck felt like.
I've said this before: Terry Richardson is the Dov Charney of photographers.
Thanks for taking steps to get this guy blackballed from fashion photography. I hope it works.
Actually the word for him is not fucked up, its felon.
