Hell, that's why the more modern GTA games (sometimes) unnerve me. It just feels TOO realistic. I like it better when mindless killing is so far detached from reality that it becomes sort of surreal.

Now that "realistic" modern military shooters have exhausted that idea creatively, they are taking the "bold, innovative" path of regressing to the gameplay and concepts of shooters 20 years ago. Hasn't the peak of FPS innovation already been breached?

I just want a typical Call of Doody with the standard terrorist plot to (out of nowhere) shift gears in the third act and reveal the true antagonist to be a Cthulhu-like cosmic entity.

I just flat out ignored your question. Wow. I have not seen "Love," but my love for 2001 and Kubrick is infinite, so if it bears similar aesthetics I might give that one a go.

Except my one sided, tear- inducing confession would be repetitive "SHUT IT"s of growing volume.

It was okay. What Nolan thinks is human conversation is actually starry-eyed idealists constantly monologuing back and forth (at one point this becomes insufferable, with me having to restrain myself from yelling at the screen), but I certainly do not regret seeing it.
