I love Thor's masked look of concern even more.
I love Thor's masked look of concern even more.
I just… Didn't know it was on… At all.
WHAT THE FUCK AT IS BACK AND NO BAMEIWHRKWHF EIEKDNWNDNW
I still have niggling problems with the way Season 4 handled undoing some of the events from the season 3 finale (cheap, heavy handed pseudo science is admittedly cheap), but at least it tackles interesting ideas of an anomaly interfering with a timeline he shouldn't have ever existed in.
Season 2 is also fantastic, essentially laying out the emotional groundwork for the rest of the series. And now that I think of it… I can somewhat agree that the latter half of season 3 almost comes to an abrupt halt in order to pad out time to establishing the conclusion of the War and the Machine. I pretty much…
Goddamn.
Since this is as good a place as any, I'd like to fess up on something (pop-culture rooted, of course) that has been nibbling inside of me for quite some time…
It's because the show is capable of conveying so many different genres and tones. Individual viewers have preferences for what kind of Doctor Who they want to watch, be it whimsy, bleakness, mystery, adventure, horror, etc.
I love how Doctor Who can be this devisive.
I guess it depends how these grades are given. If they are based on the quality of the episode as an episode of Doctor Who, than I have little qualms with the grading patterns for this series (as this has been a much better series than the other recent ones). But yeah, there were one or two clunkers. Though I'd argue…
Its fine to absolutely despise this episode, but liking it doesn't make the reviewer a biased fanboy. To me, this was a rather formidable episode, not even close to the crap in Doctor Who's recent past.
It was a pretty ok filler ep. Continued some character beats, told a narrative I never quite seen on Doctor Who, and I actually found the kids rather enjoyable. I can't seem to grasp why so many are bothered by kids acting like… kids on this show.
But even so, the very over the top fantasy elements were a bit……
The Freak Show remains a sort of slow burner drama, while the Mott residence/Killer Clown brings the weird, interesting "horror" (if you're being generous.)
guys…
Ouija isn't… r- real, right?
Well do ya, punk?
He was a dog like NO other.
Well, good ones I would've chosen were already listed (Wes Anderson, Radiohead), so….
Hell, if there is a SS2 homage, then I am definitely checking this out.
Clearly shows that the developers' heads were in the right place. And I can ignore the probably irrelevant story for some tense gameplay and terrific visual aesthetics capturing the classic film.
It probably depends on what you expect of video games.
Personally, I like a punishing game now and then.
