Yup, ugly then, ugly now.
Yup, ugly then, ugly now.
Jalopnik will be like:
Oh I know right?? What were they thinking, they should’ve FLOATING ROOFED the shit out of it. All the cool kids do it!
What is going on with Jalopnik today? Oh wah the C-pillar on the new cadillac, oh no the rust on my rotors on the car that just sits after getting wet... i gotta post on jalopnik about it now, ahhh
Wait a sec.. we are complaining about a C-pillar? It must suck to be a car designer.
OK, probably unpopular angle here, but I see they said “It takes labor to cut them out. They have to stop the machinery.” Is there something wrong with that? It takes “labor” i.e. a person. A person doing a job, presumably to get paid maybe?
Pffft, that looked like any ol’ re-run of COPS, now this Las Vegas shootout, this is more like it...
That is likely true, but they don’t play there anymore.
Why do you act like this just happened yesterday? This changeover essentially happened over 25 years ago and they’re never coming back. Yeah the repair thing sucks, but oh well. No reason for a whiny article about it. Now where is that pop-up headlights revival??
Actually, if I recall, most people were puzzled by the 6 foot tall spoiler on the back.

I remember that gen Prelude was deemed horrific when it came out, but it looks good now.
Actually, I don’t know your age, but in the 80s putting “DOHC” was all the rage. And before that they did “FUEL INJECTED” and other technologies that are totally commonplace. So VTEC and its other variants is par for the course. Only nowadays it’s “HYBRID” and shit like that.
I think you’re being way too optimistic about the Corvette clientele’s driving skills. :)
Why the fuck is the only “official” picture that we have released to the public looks like they took a picture of a picture displayed on a 1989 Sony TV and then forwarded that to their friend who then directly took a picture of that with their iPhone 3GS but couldn’t figure out how to upload a JPEG so they photocopied…
I predict lots of spinouts the first few years due to unfamiliarity of driving vehicle with big V8 in the back
I’m still figuring out GM’s obsession with using “ice blue” colors in all their gauges/interior lighting.
