These are fabulous driver’s cars and very underrated. Having owned a multitude of E30s (still race Spec E30) and E28s, I rate the Milano higher on the fun scale than either BMW. I’ve owned my Verde for 6 1/2 years and it’s never failed me. Take care of the maintenance and the Alfa will take care of you.

Can someone help fill me in on why two motors is that much less efficient? I thought that like with the dual-motor teslas you’ll get more efficiency/longer range with more and/or bigger motors, since they all have to work proportionally less hard.

Agree these new 4 series’ have absolutely no character anymore without that awful grill, which makes me think someone realized they designed a generic car that had zero BMW touches and slapped that thing on in a panic. The previous gen was such a gorgeous vehicle even after all the years it was in production.

It’s a bit dull innit? I don’t think the half-4 series, half i-type design works, inside or out (even ignoring the grille). The iX integrates the long info screen into a cohesive cabin design, this is sort of balanced on top of a 4-series cabin and they don’t really work together. Outside if you don’t look at the

Its not the worst graphic by any means. If I were to buy a HD on the bikes own merit (seems like this bike is an objectively good bike) I still wouldn’t really want to advertise its a HD and be lumped in with the usual HD crowd.

Wtf you mean Kinja'd. It's your guys' fkn platform and has been broken for like 7 years. Jesus Christ just fix it for fuck sake.

Just wait. There will be countless special editions. And you'll be able to find them parked at the local coffee shop next to the GS's.

Is the HD outline on the tank optional?

Every professional review is glowing, and the rider forums are filled with happy new owners. As a first-year model it’s guaranteed to have it’s technical quirks and growing pains, but absent some hidden grenade waiting to go off, H-D just discovered the fastest way to sell to new customers is to *make* them.

I so badly want to go into an HD dealership, ask about this bike, then get disappointed when it isn’t in yet.

Who knew? Building a product that people *want* rather than hanging onto some narrow “heritage” leads to increased sales.

I dunno, I read the whole article and I don’t see where Jason was out of line. It all sounds pretty reasonable and not especially hyperbolic; radar can do things cameras can’t, Tesla’s cameras aren’t even particularly sophisticated, and the deletion of radar will impact some features. This is a topic I’ve seen

I wrote the most amazing, beautiful, insightful rebuttal to your non-comment, but it was simply too good for this world, so I’ve purged it from existence.

Shane - I may be missing some comments, but I don’t see anybody not being cool. Pointing out a typo or mistake isn’t allowed? I know tone is hard to convey through typing, but I don’t think any of the comments went too far?

If I’m off base, let me know.

Despite the profits Lamborghini is making currently, 7.5 billion dollars is a wild offer for the brand. They're deeply entwined with Volkswagen and going forward, the new company would either need to forge new alliances, or continue to buy Volkswagen tech and refine it...at a cost. That's insane.

We need to get a 4 wheeling group together on Colorado for Jalopnik readers, but none of the writers live here, they only pass through.

You got out with the vehicle you came in with, that is a successful 4 wheeling day by my standards.

Since no one in America knows how to use roundabouts, that’s how it works here too!

Paris has a lot of people who know English. Often, they’ll fake not understanding it to avoid Americans (we have a bad reputation). Learn to greet people in french, understand their physical distance is smaller than ours, and you’ll generally be fine.

Yes. Especially in Europe in the summer, where you can watch the fat Americans wheeze around and try to find a bathroom without knowing a lick of the language while bitching about their feet hurting. Free street theater.

Pedestrian-only areas are the best. So charming.
