Cool, I thought he was great as Sabretooth.

Yaddle Sighting!!! We got a Yaddle Sighting!
We also got more Between-Rebels-and-Ahsoka history in that the rest of Sabine’s family (mother and father I have to assume we saw in the animated show) was killed and in some way it seems Sabine made a specific decision that went against Ahsoka?
Ahsoka was trained by the old school Jedi to not make decisions based on attachments, I mean she hasn't been in the Jedi order for over ten years and, as far as we know, has never even gotten into a romantic relationship. Sabine is basically a normal person, with actual attachments to those she cares for and so she…
It’s been 13 years since the release of the movie. 13 years!
It was a short short episode, but in some ways that was better. The whole thing was better paced and moved briskly along from point to point. Neither the training scenes or the politics scenes dragged on too long.
I wouldn’t necessarily describe it as “full speed ahead.”
Bringing in an extragalactic threat is the easiest way narratively to have enemies reconcile without needing to show a lot of [studio executives shudder involuntarily and make gagging noises] politics.
Liberation of Lothal was 1 BBY, Battle of Endor is 4 ABY, Ahsoka S1 is roughly 9 ABY, so there’s a decade of missing events, and at least a half decade of peace, although I kind get the sense that the Empire noped the f*** out of Lothal after the space whale debacle, so it might be effectively longer than that.
Hey, trust us, we would MUCH rather this site go back to the way it was when run by Annalee and Charlie Jane and have nothing to do with your Gizmodo.
io9 has been part of Gizmodo since it ceased to be an independent site about five years ago.
I know it won’t be, but in my heart of hearts I’m rooting for it any eventual extragalactic threat to be the Nagai from the Marvel Star Wars comics:
The YV never really felt particularly “Star Wars,” more like something a hungover EU writer typed up in a proposal after a long weekend of drunken Warhammer. And this was during the early days of the prequel era, so everything Lucas was introducing in the new movies, like the Sith, was largely out of bounds.
I’m mostly fine with the retcons. Was not as thrilled with the world-weary dry Ahsoka with no emotions besides the occasional smugly-annoyed smirk... She was far more lively in Rebels than that, though I recognize a cartoon to live action conversion is always tough, and visually they did a great job.
Oh, Dex. To be fair, you weren’t the genius Jedi Grand Master who thought, “Secret army supposedly commissioned by a mysteriously dead Jedi Master and built from the DNA of a bounty hunter who worked exclusively for a Sith Lord? Hell, yes, I want to use that army!”
Dexter Jettster contemplating the ineluctable loss of all things? Now that’s some pure uncut Glup Shitto
Disney is weird on what they advertise on Disney Plus. They have had the Simpsons on that top banner for years at this point. Then other things just pop up on the New on Disney row but if you aren’t checking on a regular basis it gets pushed out of view.
I suspect he’d cheerfully settle for the same kind of career as his dad. A mix of prestige stuff and big supporting roles in studio movies.
That’s why good agents negotiate for points on the gross, not the net.
What... the Frak?
