Ugh. I think this is a terrible rule.

That's definitely part of it, but the reality is if you don't give yourself an out, you're always going to be hamstrung. I can put on a strong front all day, but I still don't have that trump card if I can't walk away.

The single biggest piece of leverage you can have in ANY negotiation is the willingness to walk away from the table. It's simple, but so many people forget it. It changes how you approach the situation to start with.

Um, the 1b verdict came from Apple's complaints against Samsung. Not from Samsung's suit.

Nice "guess." Why would that have ANYTHING to do with Motorola's decision?

I have taken to scheduling 30, and sometimes even 15 minute meetings when necessary. I agree that most meetings could be handled over email, but people love their meetings, so I just make sure that we have only the minimum amount of time necessary to get everyone in one place.

My primary need is for network file streaming. I host my media on my desktop and want to stream to the device. Right now, I'm using a custom built XBMC box for this, but it's not very reliable and my girlfriend hates that we sometimes have to reboot it, or wait 2-3 minutes for it to re-establish the network

Good Lord.

My biggest trouble right now is how completely un-portable video content is if you try to buy it. I refused to buy music until it was available in DRM-free MP3 files. Now that it's available, I buy my music.

Uh, yeah, this looks huge:

You have all missed the point.

Oh, yay, they're removing yet one more piece of tactile feedback - the mouse click.

Yep, it will run as just a set of speakers.

Originally I was put off by the device - but primarily because I was thinking of it as a replacement for an Apple TV or other video set top box. While that is a use for it, I'm now looking at it a little differently.

I really think these skins are ugly. Motorola's is the closest to a clean, attractive interface - the other two are just varying levels of ugly and over-complicated.
