maybe because they're wrong, sacrificing their own values and they know it? no one likes a Cassandra because it reminds them of their own failures. this is a classic archetype all the way back into greek mythology: http://www.ontheissuesmagaz…

So you don't think that TV shows and art taking political stances on anything (especially those things based in the real world) have any impact? Really, queen? Well, gee, why are they even making Homeland if it has no real world resonance? I mean, seriously.

I'm so happy to have someone with a background in critical theory, queerness and a wary eye on the institution of marriage (at least from what I can tell) reviewing this show. These are great reviews. Just wanted to say thanks for the stellar read and insights, it's refreshing.

and i guess i don't see the point (at all) of highlighting this fact so I'm being hyperbolic in response.

indeed. the problem is systemic here. I thought it was just hilarious how much blame he put on Laura. I chortled so hard haha.

lol. I don't know if I should congratulate myself for that or not. but, yeah, he was a pretty smug dude.

it's a spy show, but the issues are based in reality. this isn't some fantasy where they're violating our civil rights. and people care more about that she's smug than her issues. that's insane.

"oh look! a terrorist attack is imminent!"

apparently a lot since people are more worried about the inane than the message.

I don't either understand the negative reaction. It worries me alot about the collective psyche of the American population. But then again, it was mostly the same reaction when Americans' worst nightmare—the one we're told to fear from an early age, that of Big Brother listening in 1984 style—came true and more people

God forbid she stuck up for your civil liberties. god forbid.

No right to privacy at all? seriously. this is an argument being made here. why don't you just post under your real name raper? i mean, wtf. and more rights today than any point in the post-WWII era? really?

conspiracy theorist and statist lover. wow. i thought the AV club crowd was smarter than this.

so basically you're for sacrificing your rights in the case of the potential big bogeyman? how about they just follow the law and then no one needs to deal with these issues at all?

who cares about smugness when she's right? i feel like jesus christ could be real and he'd be walking down the road smug as fuck (cos the bible version was) and people'd be like: smug, mofo! screw you!.

I feel like all of you people saying Laura is the worst are the same kind of people who say Edward Snowden was a shithead. It's super gross. So what, she has ideals. She holds to them. Smugness is forgiven when you're right.

Yes, its her fault that Saul threatened a traumatized man enough that he wanted to commit suicide vs cooperate? Sure. Laura Derangement Syndrome anyone?

Although his acting this episode was EXTREMELY hammy. I knew it was him immediately at the start of the episode and especially in the hotel room.

Flashbacks. No way he lived from that.

Simon/Caleb ghost sex like Izzie/Denny sex, please.
