I hear you, it would be annoying. From what I hear pro-athletes also hate trying to maintain their level of focus during TV timeouts, but they probably understand that's where a lot of their income is coming from.

I'm not a developer, so I'm talking out of my ass a little when I say I don't think it would be that implausible to pause the game on the server end, maybe with a 30 sec warning. When the game is paused the streamer or broadcaster could switch over to their sponsors.

I can't believe Xbox or Sony doesn't capitalize on it. Just because they are games not on their systems doesn't mean they couldn't cash in on having some sort of streaming broadcast on their console. I also believe devs are going to have to work in commercial time outs so viewers don't miss any action.

What if Zelda was a girl?

Exactly, the market that still watches broadcast TV is entertained by people bidding on storage units. :P

I truly believe G4 could have saved itself from its gaming demise if they would have embraced eSports.

Never going to happen, and it won't matter. People who enjoy watching this sort of thing know where to watch it and know how to put it on their TV. They won't be calling to nag their cable providers or content providers to provide this sort of thing on broadcast TV.

This brings to mind Neal Stephenson's Kickstarter campaign, Clang. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/260688528/clang.

Because Grandma will obviously think of something clever and remember it when she forget her Facebook password.

Well, if Sony rested on their laurels they could easily become the most hacked system of the next-gen.

Sleek is the last word I'd use to describe Mario's design..

Nice! I ordered parts for my bday and put them together last night. I went with an i5-3470 & Radeon HD 7850. I finally decided on the 7800 series since it comes with both this game and Bioshock Infinite for free.

Well, he may have been a more avid gamer in the past. I don't think he has much time off to really play games the way us commoners do.

I don't think, I know PCs are better.

Probably Corning glass, Samsung LED. :)

The aliasing.... looks terrible.

I imagine the stand is more like a fixture that can be locked into position and locks the iPad within it. Cash drawer might have a bluetooth wireless adapter to communicate with the iPad. Its a fairly specialized setup.

Yessss! haha

I have enough change in my pocket to buy it for both platforms right now. :P
