I actually went back to look at the byline to be sure it wasn’t Perkins. Martin seems to also share the view that the opening sketch each week should be someone yelling, “Donald Trump and the Republicans are destroying the country and you fucking morons don’t see it!”  Despite being someone who shares that political

The site’s reviews of SNL seem to share the same problem with its view of The Carmichael Show — an assumption that the primary point of comedy is to tell other people messages we think it’s very important for them to hear, and not to be funny.

The 90s stars had huge pay days. It makes sense that they can walk away rather than keep starring in films into their 60s and 70s.

SNL punted way too many times during the Trump administration, which is why the show was so unsatisfying in its last few seasons”

I swear to Christ, the next mother fucker to call this a Marvel movie...

Sony. It’s Sony, they own the film rights to a reported 900+ characters connected to/associated with Spider-Man. That “In Association With Marvel” tag they put on them is a legal obligation, no one from Marvel had anything to with this pile or any

A weird part of me sort of loves that Sony is like, hey, we have the rights to the spiderman stuff, and there is nothing you can do to make us stop making absolutely garbage movies out of it.

A Marvel misfire? Seems a bit like blaming the parent who has visitation one weekend a month for the poor quality of their kid’s homework.

Outside of those action scenes, there’s very little about Morbius that distinguishes it in any way, even in terms of its connection with fellow Spider-Man films.

Yeah thanks Glenn Greenwald

It must be great, living in a country with no history of violence against anyone, ever.  Where do you live again?

Sounds like a genuine (if somewhat wordy) apology and Rock isn’t pressing charges, so seems about as reasonable a conclusion to this situation as we’re likely to see. Nothing really further to discuss.

Synder Bros sure know how to click...

Yeah, count me in on the “I’m tired of the Joker” side of things. Batman’s Rogue’s Gallery is the best in the business, but the clown keeps dominating them all.

Agreed. I never was thrilled with the concept of Vader as “victim” when every single other Sith appeared to bought in, full stop, being “dark” (kill anyone that blocks access to power). Anakin has been told, over and over, about his emotions. At some point, you have to man up and take responsibility. Maybe he does in

Well, that went off the rails quickly. Did Hickman really meant for kindly geneticist Moira MacTaggert to end up being a demented, skin-wearing, mutant-terminating AI robot? This entire storyline doesn’t make sense, except for the fact that they completely ruined her character.

I’m excited for this storyline, but it really bothers me to see Moira turn heel. She was always one of my favorite side characters in the X-stories. Kinda the reasonable mom if mutants were a sitcom.

If they make a bad video game fetch quest an essential plot point, people will notice.

Awful hackish twist of the character, on the thinnest of motivations.

I wonder if in this one the horse comes back as a force ghost so that Luke and Anakin can beat it to death all over again, as father and son.

the look they gave him is a pleasantly fucked-up cross between Heath Ledger’s Joker and Jack Nicholson Gotham’s Joker
