God(and a heaping helping of PEDs)-given, sure.

Also, the executives wouldn’t let the makers kill Dexter off. Not in these articles but I’ve seen it written elsewhere.
Honestly, having been in the world for many decades now and seen many organizations fail repeatedly at exercising even their core competency over time, the thing that amazes me most about the MCU through Endgame at least has been the execution over time. They came up with a decade+ plan and saw it through.
Setting…
I guess I’d argue that the SCRIPT is jaw droppingly bad, but the actual presentation is pretty great. The fight scene with the waves crashing is stunning and continues to stick with me. I’d watch RoS to fast forward to individual setpieces
The AVC system is to always grade one letter grade lower than the tone of the review would imply. You get used to it.
It seems like a near certainty that a movie about the multiverse will feature some references to What If (and Loki for that matter). But man...I could care less if What If was canonical or not - the show really disappointed.
The original Boondock Saints doesn’t even hold up. I loved it when I was an edgy 20 year old. But it’s a pretty terrible movie.
as if “cool murder scenes” is the only thing that makes John Wick good and not the fact that it has an emotional and thematic depth that other action movies lack.
Yeah no..... I liked the first film when I was younger but dear lord does it not hold up. Also Troy Duffy is the worst kind of college dude bro imaginable. My skin crawled when reading what he said about Julie Benz in the second film.
“it has an emotional and thematic depth that other action movies lack.”
I think the thing that’s kept Roman from being utterly intolerable, at least to me, is that he’s the one Roy who has no illusions about who he is. Shiv and Kendall both think they’re good people. Connor thinks he’s important. Tom and Greg, in their own ways, front so hard to look like they belong with the rest. Even…
Watching Kendall be so obviously bi-polar is really hard to watch. The mania, then the self-pitying downside.... just fukn brutal.
I don't think the guy who wrote "Ellie Kemper finally releases statement on Veiled Prophet Ball controversy" is really in a position to pass judgement on paparazzi.
Look I think Baldwin is a real prick bastard but I haven't seen anything from this incident that I'd pin on him on particular. He's just the most famous individual tied to it. Get angry at the assistant director and the armorur.
Obviously the main outpouring of sympathy should be with the family of Halyna Hutchins. That being said, my heart also breaks for Alec Baldwin. Inadvertently killing somebody will forever weigh on you, accident or not. I can’t imagine going back to work after that. I hope they scrap this project.
Honestly, I think this looks great, but it’s such a shame that the original anime is disappearing forever and anyone harboring copies of it will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Every DECU filmmaker should send Zack Snyder a giant Christmas gift every year for making movies that were so incredibly bad that all of the other middling entries in the franchise have seemed pleasantly enjoyable by comparison.
I get that Harper’s family brings out the worst in her. I respect that. The thing I can’t move past is that Harper basically holds Abby hostage within the movie’s premise. If the script had had Harper tell Abby what was up before they left for the trip, and Abby had made the active choice to go before it was too late…
Happiest Season was such a frustrating movie. Stewart was great in it, but IMO Davis’ character was irredeemably awful for what she put her girlfriend through. The film didn’t do the work necessary to make me believe that Stewart’s character would take her back. Definitely should’ve just ended up with Plaza’s…
Where are you getting your information as to what occurred? Nothing listed in these articles or released gives any indication as to misuse of the prop by the actor. In fact it specifies that the discharge was *during* filming which suggests the prop was being used as intended.
