I could waste my time trying to explain what’s so wrong about this, but I know from my experience here on Jezebel that disingenuously policing the gayness of others is your entire odious schtick and that there’s no point in anyone trying to convince you otherwise.

Exactly. The lack of self-awareness is astonishingly glaring.

But, but... don’t you realize that “gay men” is a monolith represented exclusively by Rich Juzwiak and you have no right to a differing opinion? This article is one big fat appeal to authority on “gay culture” that he is the arbiter of, apparently.

The idea that there is a such thing as “not gay enough” to represent th community is just as homophobic as the idea that someone is “too gay” to be president. So yeah, it’s homophobic.

Is it possible that it’s maybe not outright homophobia, but still pretty shitty to criticize someone for not being gay the way you want them to be (politician or not)?

Well this gay man found parts of the article to be quite homophobic. Calling a gay man “Mary” in an attempt to degrade and belittle him is pretty textbook homophobia.

Is it possible that it’s maybe not outright homophobia, but still pretty shitty to criticize someone for not being gay the way you want them to be (politician or not)?

Following this game, I just once again considered how fortunate I have been, even as a casual, to have been able to follow the sport during the Federer/Nadal/Djokovic(/Murray) era. Especially since I realize that it will only hit me how special it has been after it has ended.

Making conversation unpleasant is praxis!!!!

I asked for my meal without bell peppers. Can I get $5 off please?

Go eat someplace else, you cheap-ass prick.

I mean, Amber doing an interview for a far right online magazine with someone from Red Scare seems like Chapo doing the lumping to me though.  She didn’t have to do that.

It shouldn’t surprise me that people raised on South Park have basically invented a leftist version of it, but fuck is it disappointing how many of my liberal/lefty friends listen to dirtbag stuff.

I mean.....to address the Elephant in the Room— isn’t Splinter basically Chapo via Kinja?

Before this, I had never heard of them, and after reading this, I want to place them next to My Favorite Murder in the place where they truly belong: the trash.

these two ladies seem like characters cut from a sketch show which specifically makes fun of Brooklyn and how annoying New Yorkers are

I fucking hate the dirtbag left. I’m an anarchist, and I have a shitload of respect for almost all of my leftist peers, from auth-coms to syndicalists. But tankies, nazbols, and the dirt bag left can all fuck right off.

I would deeply love to not care about this, but Red Scare and Chapo House are *huge* on Twitter if you even slightly try to engage in leftist discourse. It is... startling, to say the least, to get called a centrist neoliberal white feminist shrill by people who espouse the viewpoint that white supremacy isn’t really

I am a woman who is very glad he is back at work. I read that piece twice because I could not believe it had been written. The woman on that so-called date was aggravated that Ansari only offered her red wine, which she doesn’t like, and somehow expected him to psychically know this after 10 minutes of being in each
