That’s the thing that’s killing me with electric bikes. I’d love to replace my scooter (I’m getting too old for a tune pipe); don’t mind the limited top speed if it’s got that zero-rpm torque and a 50-mile range is perfect but I’m not going to pay a 200% premium for it.

You do 50MPH on a California interstate or freeway and your ass is ending up as a hood ornament on some 12 year old Maxima.

they should go back to rotary (radial) engines, 7 cylinders, one for each of the rear wheels for 14 cylinders

If it’s a plus six figure car, “real production numbers” would be unrealistic.

Based on my observations, the only Corvette owners who go fast are college students from the UAE. They could put in a 4 banger and a soundtrack and most Corvette owners would not know.

For sure.  I appreciate what Ford tried to do -- get them on the road and out of the nitrogen bubble -- but people always find a way to beat the system, it seems.

Whatever it turns out to be, they will sell most of them to retired machine shop owners who will put 5,000 miles/decade on them just like most Corvettes today.

Is a brand required to use old marquees to sell new products? When is the name no longer relevant? Porsche builds a rear-engined sports car and calls it a 911, move the engine to the front and it’s a 924. Can’t we just call this new thing a Chevrolet Frigate and be done with it?

Corvette is becoming its own brand.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like a unlicensed generic Lambo knock-off from Grand Theft Auto.

Is it me or does this seem extremely “meh”? That wing looks like butt, the proportions aren’t great. The angles aren’t great. It looks like what a generic mid-engined car would look like. Air-intakes look nice and big, but wow is that rear fender large.

Toyota’s styling has become grotesque ever since Akio Toyoda decreed “No more boring cars”. So instead of boring vanilla, now we get these baroque gargoyles. It’s not boring any more. It’s revolting.

The Ford Fiesta Ecosport Edition: Now with less safety and worse MPG, plus literally no benefits...all for more money!

Here’s the only new GT in Finland. The owner also has the older one wearing the same livery. The older one has the factory option livery but the new one has been wrapped in Finland. I don’t remember what color hides under the wrapping.

I can’t think of anything that doesn’t look good in the Gulf colors.

“Harper will be suspended by the Minnesota Boxing Commission”

“he wants respect”

Hell yeah. Expected, wanted, and got this.

While the ELR is the best-looking production Cadillac coupe (if not best-looking Cadillac in decades period) in several decades, $25k is still CP. It’s a fancy volt coupe so worth maybe a few thousand more than a regular volt at best.
