@junior ghoul: Modern PCs pretty much are plug and play once you've got all the parts. If you can't take the time to choose all the parts most computer companies offer bundles. Newegg and NCIX, my favourite computer shops, both do. All you have to do is plug and play, and now many cases offer tool free installation.

@acidrain69: At least if you're using the gum wrappers as a fuse you can easily tell which fuse went. It would be the origin of the fire determined by the fire inspector.

@heath: I was wondering what those jumpers did. I remember when I was still using PATA they were to change slave/master designation. They're also used to update firmware sometimes aren't they?
