Not sure if he’s included in those seven, but Dennis Perkins (he does SNL recaps, among other things) also announced yesterday he was leaving the AV Club. That is an extremely apt description of Cena’s performance (and got a genuine lol from me,) but that performance worked for me because that was how the character was written. Peacemaker’s role on the team is “blunt instrument” and Cena’s energy fit that very well.

Cena was incredible in Trainwreck. I know he was already huge at that point, but he clicked as an undeniable star in that movie in a way that that the Rock never did for me (other than his 5 minute cameo in the Other Guys)
