Maybe you’ll wanna give me quesos sweet,
But only for one bite and no repeats.
And maybe you’ll take away that fat and salt,
And a taste of cheese is worse than none at all.
Yes. It’s weird that a lot of people who sell bras have no idea how to measure for them. I think it has turned the industry into a weird cycle - there are so many 34/36 B/C variations, they think most people should be somewhere in there.
So we can safely assume that, once the people of Alabama see these latest revelations, it will ensure Moore’s victory.
This gets mentioned in the doco. One big problem is that he’s the only Indian in the regular cast, so he’s the entirety of the Indian representation. And he actually is grossly incompetent and criminal. There’s numerous gags about him endangering the health of his customers by feeding them filthy, out of date foods,…
What’s really different about everyone being caricatures is that most people are caricatures of personality traits. Apu largely seems to be a caricature based on his race rather than his traits, with his exaggerated accent being the standout characteristic.
for reasons unknown to me, Europe has a far better understanding of women’s bra sizes and there’s an abundance of manufacturers who sell bras (and swimsuits!!) made to actually support women with supersized breasts without looking like our grandmother all swaddled up to her neck.
Also in life you can choose to be Police Officer or mobster or a drunk, but you don’t get to choose your ethnicity.
Oh sure, they’ve used Apu to cast a light on white ignorance... while still presenting Apu as a goofy caricature of immigrants whose existence is inherently intended as a joke because (and this is a direct quote from the film as said by former showrunner Dana Gould): “Certain accents are inherently funny.” But hey, so…
Literally 0 surprise you think a video by two guys who haven’t seen the documentary that’s full of whataboutism (Italians! Irish! Canadians!) and “what everyone thinks” takes with 0 research is a good take on this issue.
The best part is the Music Band tee shirt.
That’s fair.
As a woc who has called out professors, employees, friends, I sympathize while not condoning what he did. There’s a lot of people that are acting all outraged who do the same thing all the time and it’s not realistic to pretend we all have the option of being social justice warriors on the front lines of our jobs.…
I am also wondering what he can do now. I was all set to roll my eyes as I read the NYTimes thing. But he seems to have done some thinking. I think in the past year I have done a lot of thinking about how I have stood by and watched things. Don’t we have to be willing to let people be redeemed? If we aren’t willing to…
I don’t know, I’m a woman and care a lot about how women are treated and I don’t find this argument that off base. As another commenter pointed out Billy Bush encouraged a hug, (which I didn’t remember), so he is in the end gross and complicit and probably had no qualms about laughing along with Trump. But it takes a…
This is so true. A vindictive SOB like Trump would have been on the phone with NBC brass immediately to tank his career.
No. The enemy of your enemy is your enemy’s enemy. Only your friends are your friends.
While I can see in the moment laughing along with the famous/powerful guy who you’ve been tasked with shepherding around (it’s certainly not impressive, but whatever) the part I find really disgusting is when he set up the woman who greeted them outside the bus so Trump could touch her. It’s one thing to not…
I’m in the grays, anyway, so whatever:
