Your students don’t have to provide supplies? Throughout elementary school we had huge lists every year that included personal supplies as well as a lot of supplies for the class. And periodic requests during the year when supplies ran low (always kleenex!).

Nah; the reason for him to come back was that he is awesome. Plus, he’s the steady linchpin in the family (for the most part) - the balance to the Roseanne character’s mercurial nature. And he kind of reminds me of my dad, so that, too.
